DowJo

Terms of Service

The terms for training at DowJo.

DowJo is an education product: practice capital, AI coaches, and a record of your judgment. These Terms explain what you can expect from us, what we expect from you, and how paid plans work.

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Under review. This document is being finalised with legal counsel. Until then it describes, in plain language, how DowJo works today. Questions: support@dowjo.ai.

1.About these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and DowJo (“DowJo”, “we”, “us”) for your use of the DowJo website, web app and installed app, including the Academy, practice and simulation tools, Kumite, Research, the Mentor and the community (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2.Who can use DowJo

You must be 13 or older to use DowJo. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you may use DowJo only with the permission of a parent or guardian, and a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and manage any paid plan for you.

You are responsible for your account, for keeping your sign-in details secure, and for what happens under it.

3.Education, not investment advice

DowJo is an educational product. Nothing in the Service is financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any asset.

  • DowJo is not a broker, exchange or investment adviser. It does not execute trades, hold money or custody assets.
  • The Simulator, Kumite and every other practice tool use practice capital only. No real money is ever at stake, and results have no cash value.
  • DowJo does not provide trading signals, price targets or copy-trading.
  • Market data comes from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete or wrong. It is never execution-grade. Crypto market data is provided by CoinGecko.
  • Kumite and other training on historical or modelled markets is a learning exercise. Past or simulated results say nothing reliable about future results.

Any decision you make with real money is yours alone. Investing involves risk, including the loss of everything you invest.

4.AI coaches and AI-generated content

Jo, Dow and Sensei are AI coaches: characters whose replies are generated by artificial intelligence. Mentor answers and coaching feedback, such as Jo’s trade reviews, are produced by AI models.

  • AI output can be wrong, out of date or incomplete, even when it cites sources. Check anything that matters.
  • AI coaches teach frameworks and ask questions. They are not people and are not licensed professionals.
  • The community includes a small number of AI learners, clearly disclosed as AI. They are part of a research experiment in learning alongside AI and are never presented as real people.

5.Plans, billing, renewal and cancellation

DowJo has a Free plan and paid plans. What each plan includes is shown on the Plans page. Some features — for example, entering Kumite matches — require a paid plan; Free members can still discover Kumite, spectate and open replays. Plan features can change over time.

  • Payments. Paid plans are billed through our payment processor, Stripe. DowJo never sees or stores your full card number. The price, currency and any applicable taxes are shown before you pay.
  • Auto-renewal. Paid plans are monthly subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of each billing period and you are charged the then-current price until you cancel.
  • Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from Profile → Plan → Billing, which opens Stripe’s secure customer portal. When you cancel, your paid access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, then your account moves to the Free plan. Your learning history stays with your account.
  • Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe may retry it for a short time while your access continues. If it still cannot be collected, your account may move to the Free plan.
  • Price changes. If we change the price of a paid plan, we will tell you in advance, and the new price applies from your next billing period. You can cancel before it takes effect.

Refunds. Payments are non-refundable except where required by law or at our discretion. If you think you were charged in error, contact support@dowjo.ai.

6.Acceptable use

Use DowJo to learn. Do not:

  • break the law, or use DowJo to help anyone else break it;
  • use DowJo to give other people investment advice, run a signals or tips service, or promote any investment, token or scheme;
  • access accounts or data that are not yours, probe or attack the Service, or interfere with how it runs;
  • scrape, copy or resell the Service or its content, or access it with bots or automated tools we have not approved;
  • get around plan limits, usage allowances, paywalls or security controls, or share a paid account;
  • try to make the AI coaches produce harmful content, or misrepresent AI output as advice from DowJo or a professional;
  • impersonate anyone, or create accounts to mislead or manipulate others.

7.Community conduct

DowJo’s rooms, threads, Research discussions and messages are for learning together. In the community:

  • be respectful — no harassment, threats, hate or discrimination;
  • no spam, referral farming, shilling, “pump” campaigns or promises of returns;
  • no requests for money, payment details or account credentials, and no sharing other people’s personal information;
  • no sexual content involving minors, no graphic or illegal content, and nothing you do not have the right to share.

We may review, hide or remove content and limit or suspend accounts that break these rules. We may use automated tools, including AI, to help with moderation. To report something, contact support@dowjo.ai.

You keep ownership of what you post. You give DowJo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute it within the Service, as needed to run the Service and as your sharing settings allow.

8.Third-party services and content

The Service relies on and links to third parties — for example, market data providers, and videos and charts from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and TradingView that load in their own players. Their content and services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them. A video or chart appearing in DowJo is not an endorsement.

9.DowJo content

The Service, including its lessons, courses, characters, artwork, Research notes and software, belongs to DowJo or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for your own learning while you follow these Terms.

10.Suspension, termination and account deletion

You can stop using DowJo at any time. To delete your account, email support@dowjo.ai from the address on your account; there is no self-serve delete button yet. Cancel any paid plan first so you are not billed again.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts other people or the Service at risk, or where the law requires it. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why. Sections that by their nature should survive (for example, disclaimers, limits of liability and content licences) survive termination.

11.Disclaimers

To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, that market data or AI output will be accurate or complete, or that using DowJo will lead to any particular result.

12.Limits of liability

To the extent the law allows, DowJo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for any trading or investment loss, including loss of money you decide to invest elsewhere after using DowJo. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid DowJo in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.

13.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as DowJo changes. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using DowJo after that, the updated Terms apply.

14.Governing law and disputes

The law that governs these Terms and how disputes are resolved will be stated here once this document is finalised with legal counsel. If you have a concern, please contact us first at support@dowjo.ai — most issues can be sorted out quickly.
